BaseCam activity?
The manual is the most detailed document I've ever seen, consumer wise, and professionally in the television industry as an engineer. The manual has almost everything you need to know. The only thing I miss, is there is a gimbal cage called t…

DLee What questions you got? I'm definitely doing DIY and very successfully doing it. www.risenaerials.com I'll do whatever I can to help you keep going. All the large aerial gimbals are too heavy or expensive. The Ronin MX is probabl…

No receiver after upgrade to 2_63
Caught by the dreaded RC Roll pin mode. Was set to Normal PWM. I don't remember having to do that in previous. Thank you Mr Alexmos.

Encoder for GBM8017-120T ?
I purchased. Whats the best way to mount the magnets? My motor cage is a Catalyst Machine works and I don't think its going to be a typical setup. I'm using an ipower 8017

OFFICIAL PETITION: To update SimpleBGC App
One of the big problems is that the DIY community is much smaller. The variety of DIY parts is much slimmer. My tablet has been working with 2_59, but I just went to 2_63 moments ago. Haven't tried, but I've been using my laptop with bl…

ipower 8017-120t and 5108-120t...go for 4s lipo?
I use that same setup. dual 5208's on tilt. Its amazing. I'm trying to add an encoder to yaw for position feedback though which is my next step.

PROBLEM: No PWM output from FC_ROLL or FC_PITCH
One more final addition. I found that Virt_Ch17 would produce PWM for what is normally the throttle stick on a standard mode 2 transmitter. Not Virt_Ch1 like it is on my DX6i.

PROBLEM: No PWM output from FC_ROLL or FC_PITCH
I need to add. My DX6i will work with channel 1 and 5, but the JR doesn't. I'll have to figure what the difference is.

PROBLEM: No PWM output from FC_ROLL or FC_PITCH
Hello. I've been using "Servo2" which is also labeled "FC_PITCH" forever. I've seen the same thing. I can assign my camera trigger Virt_Ch 2, 3, or 4 and everything just works. Right this second, I cannot get 1 or 5…

PWM with Yaw encoder alone
I forgot that I don't have any way to accept the encoder input on my 32bit controller I don't think. I think for now if I figure out what my in air yaw problems are I'll be in good shape.

PWM with Yaw encoder alone
Is there any motors with an encoder already built into them, that would fit in a 26mm high space? I suppose I could make room for an encoder with spacers but was hoping for a different method.

Yaw will not lock motor seems very weak
I would try a larger motor on YAW. Check out the WASP Cages. They are only $99 now. You can also get an 8017 to work in their, or a GB85. My opnion is the 5208 didn't have much holding power, but the 8017 definitely did. If you are saying …

Yaw will not lock motor seems very weak
So 8108 on pitch and roll, and a small 5208 for yaw? What camera are you trying to use? If you have such large motors on pitch and roll it sounds like you are using a big camera. A 5208 is way, way, way too small for a good hold on YAW. .......I…

PWM with Yaw encoder alone
How do I add an encoder to a 8017 that is installed in a cage? I don't see any room to fit something else inside. Please please give me more info. I'm very excited to hear I can do that. The 8017 is a really nice motor and I love the c…

YAW is wack.
I2c errors came from loose power plug powering camera. Yaw jitters were coming from loose screws holding the yaw motor cage. http://youtu.be/zI0kwSz2FkI

PWM with Yaw encoder alone
I guess my question is derailing the topic but I'm using an 8017 right now. I believe the front to back spacing is 26mm. I'm looking for a motor that will be the same size so I can keep using the cage that I am.

I guess I'm looking for an all in one motor with an encoder built into it, that takes up the same vertical space as an 8017 motor. I'm really looking to use the same motor cage for my 8017/GB85, but with a motor with an encoder. For use …

I2c errors. I'll have a video up on the same question in rcgroups. I nailed down what it is too. I'm testing today to prove it out

Shutter control via SimpleBGC 32bit?
I built my own shutter with an arduino. It's looking for a pwm greater than 1600. I have to power on the transmitter first before powering gimbal. Then I set the rc command to the channel I want. It's no scripting involved for me.

Does a 5048 take up the same space as a 8017? I have the 8017 and love my gimbal cage for it, just want to move to an encoder on the yaw.

Horizon drifting in direction of heli travel
It's pretty solid. It works way better than the 8 bit did. I can make extremely fast movements and the response is so fast I never see drift. With the 8 bit if I moved it fast, it didn't react fast enough. I'm using WASP cages wit…

Good info Sir. If I can derail with one last question. The auto PID is giving me 150+ P and D. I've never gone higher than 10. Is that normal?
