I am still learning have to tune, so I probably have the power cranked a little high. But I'm still adding components to it too. I'll be wiring in a BEC for a wireless follow focus next so that'll add more weight and another round of tuning.
Your video actually is quite impressive, well done. For sure it can be tuned to work very well and smoothly on normal use and maybe it already is.
With 2 IMUs, if you put the gimbal to some strange position like 90 degrees up and disturb the camera by hand, does it return in control or start shaking around?
I am asking as I currently use 8 bit with one IMU. I can move to any position as you do, but if I disturb the camera by hand on some strange gimbal position it looses control. When the handle is about level, the loose of control does not happen. I hope 2 IMUs would be better in this regard, hopefully never loosing control and shaking around.
Where have you installed the second IMU, on the handle or Yaw axis.
I'll have to test to see how it responds when disturbed at an angle.
I put the second IMU on top of the project box on the back of the rig, and I'm planning on just housing it inside of the project box itself at some point.
I didn't use a kit or anything. I purchased and cut the carbon fiber from measurements I took from a photograph of a Movi, and got pieces randomly from various dealers (mostly on ebay).
