Roll Only Gimbal Starting Upside Down

    I have a problem with my roll axis only gimbal, where if I keep the frame rightside up, but start with the roll axis upside down (roll 180), both the pitch and roll attitude estimates show as 180 degrees. After I manually move the roll axis right-side up (roll zero), the pitch still shows as 180. Ideally it should show roll as 180 on powerup when started in this manner, not both pitch and roll.

    Any ideas how to get around this?

    After startup in the upside-down position, only one axis should show 180. I think there is a mistake when you said "both the pitch and roll attitude estimates show as 180 degrees".

    If you see this is the PITCH starts at 180, most probably you have the parameter "Order of Euler axes" in the "RC Settings" tab set to CAM-PITCH-ROLL-YAW. Change it to CAM-ROLL-PITCH-YAW.
