MAVLink AHRS correction
this is good news, been struggling with a storm and what appears to be some sort of rift and fork of arducopter for Storm. I dislike forks. Guess I need to replace that gimbal controller now

Connecting SimpleBGC to Pixhawk (ardupilot)
I wanted to be te first to get an Alexmos working with Pixhawk Solo/IMX6 but there is not enough evidence that it will work as well as the Storm so I have not pulled the trigger on a gimbal board yet

Yaw from the flight controller comes from the drone moving not the gimbal. You literally turn the copter in the air and let the gimbal compensate on roll and pitch I have talked with people that have both set up on a Storm, and wen they use sliders …

Connecting SimpleBGC to Pixhawk (ardupilot)
As I understand it, the BGC has two separate connections for Flight Controller or RX You hook them both up and configure them so you can have the flight controller move the gimbal or you can have your transmitter RC control move it

any plans to expand on support? The new flight controllers coming out with companion computers are going to leverage controllers a lot more in the future?

Gimbal rolls only on one Side
out of curiosity what frame is that? There are several good tuning videos on youtube. Start with those or even try auto tune but are you sure all the sensors are calibrated??

good to know, looks like it will take a while to get here, but if dry fit goes ok, then I will order the other two motors and controller Will link as the source on the build sheet on the wiki

that motor may be over powered for my rig is the only concern. low end 1200 grams and I will just make that with a heavier lens and quick disconnect

yeah that is the conundrum all the holes are 25mm on the frame I think I am going to have to resort to drilling the frame to 30mm on the encoder side and pick a motor with 25mm on the other side

yes I think that is how it is passing the information looks like the holes I need to deal with on the motor bases is 25mm on the 4108 Still looking at the bell sides and then check the yaw motor which the designer had designated as 4006 motor

So you are saying this product, has motor encoder and slip ring all assembled and included at that price? http://mymobilemms.com/OFFTHEGRIDWATER.CA/BRUSHLESS-GIMBALS/Gimbal-Brushless-Motor/BGC-Encoder-Motor-PM4108-AS5048A-Encoder-Built-Inside

I don't really see a better price there. I can currently purchase a confirmed Basecam extended with encoder firmware, 3 motors with encoders and case for 299. Not to mention that site seems to be ok selling knock offs of the hardware. I prefer …
