3-axis vs. 3-axes
  • Just a basic question I wonder about and I'm curious to see what do you think about it.

    If the plural of “axis” is “axes”, why is the expression usually “3-axis gimbal”? Shouldn't it be in fact “3-axes gimbal”?
  • 3-axis is proper. As 3-year-old (not 3-years-old).
