Driving brushless motors without gyro

    Hi guys,

    I was wondering if it is possible to use the Basecam controller to drive brushless motors without the need for gyros.

    I am looking to drive a motor for a camera slider using a joystick or an RC radio, and stabilization is not necessary.

    Hello Ronald,

    I had the same question a couple of weeks ago so I wrote the guys on BaseCam and they answered that no gyro BLDC are allowed without any issue, however I haven´t been able to use mine with the Simple BGC 3.0

    Now if I may suggest, if you only need a camera slider that moves forward and backwards you could use an ESC to move your BLDC motor.
