Roll axis oscillation to right, left ok.
  • Hello!

I'm a newbie - please be patient with me...

I have a 3 axis gimbal with alexmos software, DJI Phantom, Gopro.

After some trial and error I managed to get the gimbal running, the stability was quite good for about 50 flights..

Today after a flight with no special problems the gimbal developed strange problem :
Tilting the Phantom right the gimbal reacts quite ok, stays horizontal.
Tilting the Phantom left the gimbal rolls to opposite direction as expected till about 10 degrees tilt. Then the gimbal starts to oscillate at abt. 1Hz frequency. When turning the Phantom back to level the gimbal stays at abt 30 degrees tilt and then usually very slowly returns horizontal.
Again tilting to right, everything runs smoothly.

Pitch axis works ok, as well as yaw.

I've run the calibrations several times, they run ok and stabilize in a few seconds - no help with the oscillation.

The problem appeared after an uneventfull short flight - temperature -3 degrees below freezing point.

The gimbal has had a crash from 30 meters, when the Phantom without any appearent reason just fell from the sky. However, after the crash the gimbal worked ok about 20 flights.

What do you gurus think - is the gimbal control board damaged or what?

    Regards
