Power supply regulator spec

    I want to use a 12v regulator to power my gimbal from the main 6S flight battery. What maximum current should my regulator be able to supply? The 32-bit 3-axis Simple BGC specification says the maximum motor current is 1.5A. Is 1.5A that per motoror in total? My gimbal will be carrying a camera that is less than 1kg weight.

    Hello, 1.5 Amp. is per 1 motor, so total is about 4.5 Amps. But we strongly do not recommend exceed this value! Here is no overload protection!

    @deej, to define your gimbal current consumption, simplest thing would be to measure it. You will notice it is quite stationary, but if you later on change the power settings it will change. Likely your gimbal consumes totally less than 1.5A, but it depends of motors, settings etc.
