Is there any component that looks like damaged? It could be that there is just one component damaged and then it could be that that component could be replaced, but that would require good soldering skills and soldering station.
Some boards claim that they have reverse voltage protection, check your board specifications. In any case it would be good to contact the seller, maybe they can help.
Thank you for the link and for your help. My problem is solved, I bought a voltmetre to control the battery polarity (it was wrong). After reversing, everything works ! Good to know: My CAME steadycam is protected from reversed polarities.
