Final Fantasy 14 has confirmed its participation in the annual Gamescom event from August 21 to 25, shortly after the launch of its Dawntrail expansion. While specific announcements remain undisclosed, attendees can look forward to a new battle challenge against Valigarmanda, one of Dawntrail's 8-player bosses.
Gamescom, a major trade show held in Cologne, Germany, kicks off with Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20. Although some companies like Sony and Nintendo have opted out, others including Square Enix, Sega, and The Pokémon Company will be present. Final Fantasy 14's appearance comes just three weeks after the release of Patch 7.05, which includes the Cenote Ja Ja Gural treasure map dungeon, the first four Savage fights of The Arcadion raid series, and balance updates for Jobs such as the Viper and the Black Mage.
