Explaining bode plot
Thanks, Aleksey! Could you recommend any literature to obtain those skills? And what are the units of measure of those input/output numbers? Do they represent "rotation rate"? And if so then why didn't I observe any rotation while th…

Explaining bode plot
Hello, alemos, a followup question... When I log the results of bode plot I dont get the values depicted on the bode chart. More like I am getting some sort of raw data which is later used to calculate values for the chart. Could you please explain …

Explaining bode plot
Thanks again, alexmos! Could u please clarify the folowing: "it still shows a distribution of amplitude response over the frequencies" - what are those frequencies? Are they just artificially generated identical signals? (like same input i…

Explaining bode plot
Thanks alexmos, those are some wonderful news to hear! But still is it possible you could drop a few lines about "Plant + Controller" case where you said "it will show this signal amplified and filtered by PID controller and all filt…

And most importantly - can those Phase responce/ Gain responce parameters be improved by PID regulator calibration or any other controller setting?

Video on copter is shaking.
Just an addition to the topic here is a photo of my gimbal: https://ibb.co/iVEcXT I have marked essential joints there. The whole gimbal is attached to a wodden slub (1). The slub (1) is attached to a plastic plate (2), which has a set of dampers (3…

Encoder angle limits do not work
There you go. The camera that had this problem was already shipped with angle limits turned off, but I was able to repeat the same problem on a testing equipment. It looks messy af, but it does the trick. Another thign. It appears that this probl…

YAW home position not consistent
Not sure if you read the manual, but if you are using 2.63+ version of GUI and firmware, you should have a tab "Service". There is a groupbox named "StartUp behaviour" which has three checkboxes under a line "Search and move…

Can't create CMD_REALTIME_DATA_CUSTOM request
Yes i have freaking succeeded at sending this command man. Turned out that I actually received them, but did not realise it for the reason so dumb that I won't write it here. But thanks for the suggestion/

IMU Yaw Angle Changes Over Time
I am pretty new to BaseCam controllers but this is the way I see it, you are right in your guess: Home position is calculated from encoder data hence it depends only on a motor position. When you tell controller to assume zero angles, this command …

Encoder does not calibrate offset. Suggests to Invert encoder
Ok it appeared that all three encoders were unfunctioning (all three lacked a capacitor on a power line and had wrong circuit voltage). After they were fixed, everything went ok.

Encoder does not calibrate offset. Suggests to Invert encoder
"- it is an expected behavior, so all is correct at this point." That's good to hear, but if I leave only Roll encoder enabled and start calibrating electric field, I get 0.01 gearing ratio and error "ENCODER.CALIB.FAILED" A…

Encoder does not calibrate offset. Suggests to Invert encoder
A little addition to my previous comment: When I turn roll and pitch motors by 90 degrees, their "ENC_RAW_" variables first change by about 4 thusands but then they constantly jump +- 16 k. It is almost like a type overflow occurs and 14 …

Encoder does not calibrate offset. Suggests to Invert encoder
Thanks for answers, Alexmos. As for "ENC_RAW_YAW", it indeed sends weird data: when the motor is stable, the variable constantly changes around 32 thousands and when I rotate motor a bit, it starts to change for an instant, but then retur…
