I2C Errors
  • Hi All,
I am using a SimpleBGC-32 bit with encoder and brushless motors and I have a lot of I2C errors, I have try differents techniques, ferite beads, switching wires... But it still the same...it appears that the power of my motors is linked to the I2C, if I am increasing the power ( more than 50), I2C errors are getting bigger and bigger...
Any help would be apreciate, let me know if you have the same problem,
    Thanks
  • Hi,
I am no expert but I've had the same problems.
I2C errors mainly occur due to interferences caused by motor wires. The higher the Vmax, the more chances you have of getting I2C erros.
Try setting the lowest Vmax possible for your gimbal to work, that way you will also avoid overheating motors plus your battery will last longer.
You sholud also separate motor wires from IMU wires if possible to avoid interferences.
Other things you can try are twisting together all 4 IMU wires or using shielded cable (effective).
By the way, keep using ferite rings, they DO work!
    Hope it helps.
