I'm currently looking for instructions how to get started to built my own DSLR Gimbal (3-axis handheld, without a drone). As I'm new to the whole topic of Motors, ESC's, Controllers I'm currently trying to find out what's required and how to interpret the technical data. There are videos on YT how to configure, calibrate the controller, or how the DSLR Gimbal one built looks like, but didn't found any tutorial, which explains the whole things. That's why I ask a few questions which just came up.
1.) What parts do I need, just from the electronics part? - Controller (e.g. Simple BGC 32 or Simple BGC 32 Extended). Anywhere the Extended version on stock? - Optionally a second IMU to get better results - Brushless motors (do I need ESC's ?) - Joystick - Battery - Cables Do I miss something? If yes, what and why is it needed (just to get an understanding)
2.) I would like to mount a Sony A7s (II) on it. - Camera weight (~500g) + Lenses (up to 1kg) - Any recommendation regarding the motors or their specs? There are calculators for drones including there rotors and weight, is there something similar for gimbals? - Do the motors need an separate or integrated ESC? Which solution is better? - What specs of the motor and/or ESC are interesting/required to work with the Simple BGC 32 (extended)? - Can I use different motors or more what is recommended? All the same or are some motors better on a specific axis? Is this supported by the Simple BGC 32?
These are just some of the question which came to my mind, maybe if the one or the other could be clarified it would be great. Thanks
