Short connection on wire to Brushless gimbal. is there a fail safe system as my controller got warm

    IMU Sensor unplugging plugging in while powered through USB & striped Possible short connection of the wire to a Gimbal motor.
    The GUI Interface mentioned not to connect the Sensor while powered up.
    After the above event the GUI interface reports that the sensor is not connection even though it is.
    Q1, Will the Main board be damaged or the IMU sensor?
    Q2, Does the power output to the gimbal motors have fail protection or is it possible that this could be damaged as the controller did get warm. would the controller be damaged as not working now due to the sensor not working.
    What tests can I do?
