Well it took me a few tries but I finally got the Basecam java file running in Ubuntu. For those struggling to get it to recognize the COM port, the program needs to be run from Terminal as sudo.

Anyway, once that was sorted I tried to run an upgrade, the program initiates the download fine but when it comes to writing the firmware I get this error:

Failed to upload: Error writing firmware: Cannot run program "/home/user/bin/STMFlashLoader.exe": error=2, No such file or directory.

Im running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on a dual boot Chromebook C720. I tried running the SimpleBGC.exe under Wine but Im not able to get the COM ports working on there.

Any help would be great.
