I'm not looking to buy, proven products are already available if I wanted to do that.
I am instead building it myself, and am looking for examples of previous builds for research. A video like that is of no help, at all - I know how they work. What I need is technical details of how it was built.
Well, they are not all the same, we have made it very responsive and also as we use the speed/position mode, rotating the handwheel 10 times forward and then back, will return the gimbal exactly on same position. Using just speed mode is simpler and probaly for most use ok.
If you like to do that your self, it sounds you have a lot to learn as I doupt you will find any detailed and well documented instructions for exactly what you want.
Building good handwheels is to most expensive part of this project. the programming part is not that complicated if you have basic skils on that, more difficult to define what all functionalities you want and how exactly should it work.
Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately they add nothing to my knowledge - I'm looking for more specific information. What sensors did you use on the wheels, and how exactly were they integrated with the Basecam controller? How is speed/position mode invoked?
