Tilted Frame IMU calibration and operation
  • Hi all,

I have a gimbal where the Frame IMU is slightly tilted forward (pictures here: https://hdairstudio.com/product/infinity-mr-pro/ ). Is it a good idea to enable the frame IMU even though it's tilted? If yes, How should I calibrate the IMU in this case? Should I keep the IMU board or the camera mount leveled? I can already tell that there is some pan-roll coupling when tilting the gimbal fast.
    Thanks for the help!
  • Did you ever figure this out? I wanted to mount my main controller at an angle on the yaw arm just like the HD Air Studio gimbal, but under the misalignment section, it only allows degree changes below 10 degrees. So with a gimbal like you have, are you using the frame IMU, mounted below the camera on the Pitch axis to provide gyro data?
