Hi,
not a problem but a learning question here: I noticed the motors getting warm even if an axis is without load (vertical position). Somehow I though the system has no holding torque and only reacts due to the PID control. Is that wrong? Does that mean that a balanced gimbal has the same power consumption as a unbalaced one when standing still? -

Unbalanced gimbal consume more current than balanced, because motors spending power on holding gimbal frame in the desired position.

In any way, try to decrease Power to the motor that heats up without any load.
