sensor not connected and firmware issue

Hi,
I have a couple of these controllers I got from someone and I am trying to set one up on my gimbal. They both have the same issue. The newest simple bgc firmware does not recognize them and won't let me update them. On version 2.4 everything seems to update fine and it will connect but I get a sensor not connected error. Anyt help would be appreciated!

Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
I have the same issue. Bought 6 new controllers and sensors. All units say 'sensor not connected'. I've tried different cables, different firmwares and even tried direct soldering the sensor to control board but no joy.
Any advice welcomed.

that is a 8 bit board are you using 8 bit firmwear ?
