If it works, don't worry (until the smoke is going up) :) And we are very interested in pictures of your gimbal and IMU!

Houston, we have a problem: UART port SimpleBCG 8bit: pullup current too high (27mA) on
If you still doubt, just put 1k resistor serial into the line.

Input resistance of Rx-pin is too high. There won't such a large current. So you may connect your "Uno" directly with the gimbal controller.

tompa, jen, why wouldn't you try to? At a worst case, just roll back to previous firmware. Your experience will be useful for most of us!

No COM Port Available in GUI
Seems to be a hardware failure. Firstly, try another USB cable or use another PC to be sure that onboard converter is alive. Also, you may use external FTDI converter to connect with controller via UART. If nothing helps - contact to your seller.

These two motors are almost identical. "Turns" - means quantity of wire turns around each stator teeth. More turns - more torque, but it also causes more DC resistance. I'd to advice you 4S battery. In that case you have a bigger rang…

Difference between Rctimer 5010-14 360KV and GBM5010-150T motors
No it can't. Please, use motors designed especially for the gimbals. Gimbal motors have DC resistance much higher than in other type ones.

Using 6 cells battery to power the 32 bit board?
We strongly don't recommend you to overvoltage the controller. It void of warranty. Otherwise, you may use step-down DC/DC converters.

Where did you buy the controller? Could you place here some photos of your controller? What happens if you directly connect a sensor to the board with shortest wires?

Motor pin configuration
If you talking about connection of gimbal motors to SimpleBGC controller, so you got to know that it is no matter the polarity. It is the same rule as you connect the BLDC motor to any ESC. If motor runs wrong direction, you can invert it in the GUI.
