Moin, for my self-developed 3d sintered gimbal to work even better, I want to use encoders. For magnet-related solutions, I have little space because I use a sliding ring at ROll and YAW. So I would have to rebuild the shafts and engine cages.
Have you made experiences like optical encoders? Of course, there are also high-resolution and the "reading disc" I could intigrieren wonderfully as well as carry on the lines in the hollow shaft.
Optical encoders have excellent precision, but the only one problem that makes it less useless for gimbals: they all are incremental. As you may notice, we support ONLY absolute encoders.
With the hollow haft I can advise only AMT203. Though, other magnetic on-axis encoders can be used, but with the limitation for a working ragne of axis. Many regular gimbals with limited range use cheap magnetic encoders with big success.
Hi Aleksey, The reason why I opened the topic is that I found ABSOLUTE optical encoder - not cheap but exactly as I need it - even with SPI or CAN (open / lift) cominacation.
In my opinion the best system unfortunately uses other protocols, or is it possible to integrate them? Http: //www.renishaw.de/de/resolute-absolut-messsystem-mit-resa-winkelmessring--10939
