Side-mount of gimbal replacing pitch/roll with up/down - left/right

Hi there, I am considering buying one of your gimbals for control of a camera in a remote location. I want to make it simple and have an idea to only use the 2-axis gimbal with two motors, and mounting it on a wall (which is sideways). Will the configuration parameters support this setup and will I be able to control it with a remote joy-stick?

Yes, it's possible.

What weight of the camera (or stabilised object) do you need to stabilise?
