no encoder output
  • hello, i build a 2 axis gimbal with encoders.
    I get bgm81088-100 motors , 32bits board and AS5048A devboard kits.

    I plug everything (test the motor with the IMU before : no problem) i try to check the encoder with the trial software version but after configuration I don't have signal on the monitoring, after check the debug i got this :

    i don't have encoder on the ROLL axis so i understand why is disabled but i don't understand with the encoder on other axis get magnitude and gain to 0 where one encoder is stack to the magnet and the other don't have magnet.

    anyone can help me to understand my mistake?

  • It should work, check your connections leads to the pwm pins
  • ok thank a lot, I get the 5v from the servo outup but now i try with the 5v output and it's working!!!
  • Congrats! the 5v from the servo setup should work if you solder the jumper points. if not there will not be any 5v from the pwm pins
