Wiring External Status LEDs

I have a 32-bit board that I am installing in a project box. I would like to add some panel mount LEDs to the box since I won't be able to see the on board LEDs once the box is closed. I cannot figure out how I would wire those to the board. Does anyone know how I might do that?

I am also on the hunt for figuring this out. The FLASH pins on the 32 bit board (i am assuming this is the pinout for external led) do not work as far as I can tell...
