Raspberry Pi

I am new to gimbles but I want to be able to control one with a Raspberry PI. What is the best way to do this? I bought a Tarot T3DIV gimble and I trying figure out the best way to connect this to the Pi. The easiest seems to be to just use the serial port to the controler

please explain what your trying to do ? no real reason to connect the tow other than to set up the BGC board.
