I would love to see support for a PWM version of the RLS AksIM encoder. The large diameter allows it to be mounted around a small motor, which opens up the motor shaft for a slipring.
With AS5048A-B encoders you need to bend the wires over really hard to get the right clearance between magnet and sensor. It is hard to control the wires well enough to keep them from rubbing on the magnet. It also adds height to the motor, which can be a problem for space-constrained motors.
I have the same problem. How did you solve it? I got the RLS Orbis. But they are still relatively large for small brushless motors such as. E.g .: T-Motor 2208
