SimpleBGC 32bit: ROLL slowly moves into one direction, even while doing nothing
  • Hey,

I have build my own gimbal and everything seems to work pretty well. The cam is stable. Unfortunately, I could not really fine tune it because there is one major issue. While standing still, the ROLL motor (very) slowly turns and never stops (at 45degrees it does, I think there is a limit)

Does someone have an idea? Here is a video of what happens and the settings I have made. Nothing fancy at all.

  • This video solved the issue for me: Watch both the mechanical and then the PID tuning clips. The power and pid tutorial made it make sense for me.

The IMU calibration was what was causing my system to slowly pan.
  • Yes, IMU calibration is typical reason for this, the other one is RC calibration. or that unused analog channels are configured in RC, always set RC to none, if nothing is connected to that channel.
  • I lowered the gyro trust, that helped me.
