Unplugging the IMU sensor while powered by USB Warning, is the IMU which gets damaged?

    IMU Sensor unplugging plugging in while powered through USB & striped Possible short connection of the wire to a Gimbal motor.
    The GUI Interface mentioned not to connect the Sensor while powered up.
    After the above event the GUI interface reports that the sensor is not connection even though it is.
    Q1, Will the Main board be damaged or the IMU sensor?
    Q2, Does the power output to the gimbal motors have fail protection or is it possible that this could be damaged as the controller did get warm.

    Connecting or disconnecting IMU when powered is not advisable. It could break IMU or board. Typically probably would not, but could.

    The same goes for making a short circuit on motor wires. The board has protection, but the protection could fail.
