Motors not turning on, but sensors are receiving power.

    Hi everyone!

    Recently put together a 3 axis gimbal and when I plug a battery in, neither of the motors turn on. My sensors are lit up, but no movement form the motors whatsoever. I read maybe it could be because the board doesn't have any software loaded? Or maybe I have a bad or not official board?

    Any insight is much appreciated.

    You need to connect the GUI and do the basic setup and then tuning. Motors will not get power before sensor is calibrated and gimbal will not work right before the complete setup is performed.

    Thanks for the response! I will try again to connect and setup,

    Does anyone have any insight on flashing firmware on mac Os X. I found videos using xloader, but only on windows 7.

    Also, I heard AVRDUDE is what I should be using, but I can't find a download for it.

    Like always any insight is much appreciated, even if it is just tell me to shut up =p

    wee a lot of progress, so it's attempting to flash the firmware, but it can't connect to bootloader.
