Unable to connect to bootloader

    What does it mean if you get the following error:

    "Failed to upload: Error writing firmware: [1] Unable to connect to bootloader"

    Background: Board not responsive, so it was manually flashed according to the instructions on this site and the manual.
    Details: Using OS X.
    Firmware and GUI on 2.42 b7
    32 bit board.

    Obviously the manual flash didn't work, but I haven't seen this particular error, and I'm curious if it points to a solution.

    Did you follow the user manual instructions for flashing the recovery FW, I tried many times before reading the users manual ;-)

    Yes, I'm very aware of how closely you have to follow those instructions. :-)

    Hi there, I wanted to Close (set) FLASH jumper on board, but I couldnt find this jumper. Can anyone tell me where to find it? There is nothing written on it except that the board is a Basecam product. I assume it's a 32Bit board and I might have upgraded the firmware to 8Bit by accident... now power LED is on and the blue LED blinks a few times and then stays off. That's why I wanted to do a recovery.
